Abstract

|
A bilateral traumatic dislocation of hip joints is rare. This injury is usually the result of severe trauma, and is associated with many combined injuries and complications. We report a case of a bilateral traumatic posterior hip dislocation, with an
acetabular fracture, suffered by a 39 year-old man due to a traffic accident. He was treated with an immediate closed reduction, followed by an open reduction of the acetabular fracture. Seven years after the trauma, no avascular necrosis of the femoral head, or clinical and radiological arthritis of the hip joints were revealed.
